Denise Richards: Happy to "Be There" for Charlie Sheen's Kids May 20th 2013, 13:22 Keep this up, Denise Richards, and you may someday be known for more than your threesome scene in Wild Things. With Brooke Mueller once again in rehab - she reportedly flipped out a few weeks ago and claimed she had connections to the mafia - the actress has been taking care of Bob and Max, the four-year old twins Mueller shares with ex-husband Charlie Sheen. Who, of course, is also the ex-husband of Richards. It's complicated... yet sort of sweet. "You just figure it out because you don't have a choice. You have these children depending on you," Richards told Us Weekly of watching over the boys. "You prioritize. I had children because I want to be a parent, and I want to be there for them." For legal reasons, Richards could not discuss her guardianship in much detail. But she did elaborate on her relationship with Sheen, which has come full circle after many rocky years. "I don't want to have an unhealthy relationship with him, something toxic with a lot of animosity. Life's too short for that," she said. "We actually enjoy hanging out, and we enjoy being with the kids." Sheen, meanwhile, is fully behind his first ex having custody over the kids he shares with his second ex. "Charlie supports the actions of the Department of Children and Family Services," the actor's rep said in a statement on May 3. "He knows Max and Bob are safe in a stable, loving environment with Denise and the boys' sisters."
