Miley Cyrus Slams Pop Music Scene as "Stale," Remains "Proud" of VMA Performance >>Hollywood

Unlike on the current cover of Rolling Stone, Miley Cyrus is not topless for the November issue of Fashion.

But that doesn't make the magazine's interview with this controversial star any less revealing.

Responding to those who have come down harshly on her Video Music Awards performance and/or her Wrecking Ball video, Miley makes it clear: she could not care less about their opinions.

"I feel like I'm in a different lane now," she tells Fashion. "When it comes to critics, I have my blinders on and I don't really feel like I have to compete with other pop artists."

Cyrus goes on to say her much-talked-about VMA routine was actually censored ("I was trying to slap Robin's ass, but no one saw it! MTV edited so much. They cut almost everything I did!") and that she's "proud" of the performance.

Especially when compared to the way other singers have been carrying themselves.

"I feel like music is really stale right now," she says. "I could have guessed what a lot of artists would have done that night."

Damn. Slam!

This isn't the first time Cyrus has talked negatively about other artists. She went off a bit on Justin Bieber to Rolling Stone, saying he's in danger of becoming like Vanilla Ice and "in his head, he's really, like, 12."
