Gwyneth Paltrow is not the most popular celebrity in Hollywood.
She's considered pompous, spoiled, aloof... and she there's footage of her cutting off a school bus on her Vespa.
But Paltrow is featured in the latest issue of Red and she tells the magazine she's well aware of her critics - and she really isn't bothered by them.
"The older I get, I realize it doesn't matter what people who don't know you think, says People's Most Beautiful Woman of 2013. "It doesn't matter. You're wasting your energy."
The Oscar winner's comments come on the heels of a claim that Vanity Fair is prepared to publish a scathing take-down piece about her.
Still, Paltrow says she's unfazed.
"It's like, if your partner comes to you – or your best friend – and says, 'Listen, I want to talk about something you did that hurt me, or I think you could improve,' sit down and listen to what they have to say. But some friend of so-and–sos – it's like, who gives a shit?"
The Iron Man actress dismisses most of the negativity as mere gossip.
And she has a few select words for women who judge other women.
"Nobody else can tell [a woman] how many hours a week she needs to devote to this, that or the other … Fuck what anybody else says … It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. That's what we've got to let go of."
You've gotta at least admire Paltrow for sticking to her strong opinions, right?
She concludes by saying she is all about her kids and her career and those are what's important in life.
"That's my work/life balance," she says. "I've made it work for me, but it doesn't matter what my specific thing is … It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. It matters what you think of yourself. And what your children think …
"So if anyone is going to ask my advice, I'd say, do what is right for you, and don't give a shit what anyone else thinks."
