CBS returned Thursday with its first new programming of 2014, highlighted by The Big Bang Theory Season 7 Episode 12, which featured Penny's big break.
It turned into heartbreak, however, as her gig on NCIS didn't go as planned.
With Leonard struggling to help her, Penny then asked her boyfriend a bold question, which we won't spoil here, but made for an interesting twist in the episode.

Back to the show, Sheldon tried to learn how to be funny, which was awkwardly funny, while Raj tried to work on his game. Talk about a pair of ambitious undertakings.
