Greta Gerwig is headed to CBS.
The Golden Globe-nominated actress will anchor the network's planned How I Met Your Mother spinoff (aptly titled How I Met Your Dad) as Sally, a Peter Pan-type who casting notes describe as never having grown up.
She has no direction in life. She's likely going to split from her husband of one year. And she relies on her friends for advice and guidance.
If the sitcom gets picked up, it will follow the same concept as the original on which it's based, just with gender roles switched: Sally will be telling her kids, via flashback, how she met their father.
Emily Spivey wrot the pilot with HIMYM creators Craig Thomas and Carter Bays, who are on board to produce.
