It one of the biggest upsets to date in this year's Winter Olympics, Shaun White fell during his first halfpipe run and failed to medal.
But fellow Olympian Gus Kenworthy knows how to make his American teammate feel better: PUPPIES!
The slopestyle skier came across a ridiculously adorable dog during his stay in Russia a few days ago, posting a photo of himself and the canine on Twitter and including with it a caption that reads:
"Oh my glob, look who I just found! #sochistrays."
Then, Kenworthy kept going... and met more puppies!
Holding four dogs from the same litter in a heap on his lap, Kenworthy then unveiled a second image online and wrote "puppy love is real to puppies" below it:
Kenworthy says he hopes to makes this more than a temporary cuddle as well, telling fans via Facebook:
"Spent all afternoon playing with a gang of stray puppies here in Sochi! Looking into finding a way to bring them home with me but also don't want to take them away from their mama because she was being super cute and protective over them."
The athlete then provided another update, Tweeting that he's " lined up kennels 4 the pups & made vaccination appointments. Doing all I can to bring them home w/ me!"
