We have an update on Alec Baldwin's arrest in New York City this morning.
First, the actor did not actually get arrested, according to a People magazine source.
Instead, the Emmy winner was simply detailed and issues a summons after police nabbed him biking the wrong way down the street and failing to be in possession of an ID at the time.
How did the notoriously angry star react to this situation? Pretty much as expected...
"Officer Moreno, badge number 23388, arrested me and handcuffed me for going the wrong way on Fifth Ave," he Tweeted not long after returning home.
"Meanwhile, photographers outside my home ONCE AGAIN terrified my daughter and nearly hit her with a camera. The police did nothing."
Baldwin then relayed his feelings about The Big Apple in general, via a quote that would make Charlie Sheen proud:
"New York City is a mismanaged carnival of stupidity that is desperate for revenue and anxious to criminalize behavior once thought benign."
Alec Baldwin confronts a reporter for allegedly assaulting his wife. Then, Baldwin gets into another heated argument with a Fox 5 News reporter.
Despite Baldwin's temper-fueled Tweets, the People source says the actor "calmly got into the police car and went to the police station," adding that the incident "transpired very quickly."
Earlier this year, Baldwin published an essay in New York magazine that accused New York of changing for the worse and vowed to move to Los Angeles.
Many Big Apple residents may now be happy to help him pack.
