Her regular baby bump photos recently passed the 39-week mark, but #BabyDilly has yet to arrive. Was Jill Duggar's due date wrong? Has it been pushed back?
The mother-to-be, 19 Kids and Counting star and midwife by trade has shared an update with fans curious about the remaining days of her first pregnancy.
Turns out it may be a few more days than originally thought ...
It would certainly be appropriate for the devout Christians, as that is Easter Sunday, but the reality star is basing the prediction on more than just that.
Duggar says she's been experiencing Braxton-Hicks contractions, but no signs of actual labor, and she expects the pregnancy to last awhile longer.
"First-time moms often go a week and a half over, so don't get discouraged when everyone else is asking you, 'When are you going to have that baby?'"
"The baby will come when the baby comes."
Jill says she obviously can't tell us exactly, but is "planning on the baby coming late, no big deal. If you have it in your head that way, you won't get discouraged."
Smart girl. At this point, she'd probably prefer #BabyDilly be born sooner rather than later, but instead of looking at it that way, she takes a different mentality.
By expecting a delay of up to two weeks, the 23-year-old won't be disappointed and frustrated at a time when her body doesn't need the undue stress.
"It is really exciting to be studying this when pregnant. It takes on a whole different light when you are studying about when you are going through."
With a mother who's done this 19 times in Michelle Duggar to offer advice, and her studies in how women undergo labor and delivery, she's well prepared.
Now, with Jill Duggar's due date either upon us or darn close, it's just a hurry up and wait kind of situation, but wisely, she's not in any hurry at all.
We, on the other hand, can't wait to get our first glimpse of #BabyDilly (his actual name has not been revealed by the couple) once he arrives at last.
