Jake Owen Addresses Divorce in Concert: This is the Hardest Sh-t! Aug 11th 2015, 16:12, by Hilton Hater Jake Owen didn't let the elephant in the amphitheater sit alone in the corner for very long during a concert on August 8 at the WE Fest in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. A day after announcing his divorce from his wife of three years, Lacey Buchanan, Owen opened right up to those in attendance about the split. “I’m going to say this real quick. I think maybe a lot of people would maybe shy away from it,” the country artist said. “But I’ve been going through some weird stuff. My wife and I are getting a divorce and this is probably the hardest s—t I’ve ever done in my life. "To walk on stage every night and try to pretend like everything is awesome when it really ain’t always awesome.” Owen originally announced he and his wife's divorce news via Twitter on August 7, writing at the time: “This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. We appreciate your support and privacy in this matter.”
