Steve-O Arrested for Anti-SeaWorld Stunt: Look at What He Did! Aug 10th 2015, 14:41, by Hilton Hater Former Jackass star Steve-O was arrested on Sunday for... well... acting like a Jackass. The stuntman actually climbed to the top of a giant crane in Hollywood while holding an inflated balloon orca with "#SeaWorldSucks" scrawled across it. Sitting about 100 feet in the air, Steve-O appeared to set off some fireworks, bringing such major attention to himself that over 30 police officers were called to the scene due to reports of a possible suicide attempt. Moreover, the Associated Press reports that five ambulances, a helicopter and 80 firefighters responded as well. "Some of the resources on this hoax could have been devoted to a real emergency," Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said. Steve-O (who filmed himself atop the crane, as you can see here) eventually climbed down and was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, setting off a firework without a permit and conspiracy to commit a crime. We admire his passion and all, but this type of protest serves himself far more than it serves any kind of cause.
