Toronto Raptors forward Amir Johnson was ejected from Monday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers after getting into an unusual argument with a referee. Amir Johnson Throws Mouthpiece at Ref As Portland's J.J. Hickson swished the first of two free throws late in the third quarter, both Johnson and referee David Jones went to retrieve the ball. Jones grabbed it off one bounce but all of a sudden, Johnson began arguing with him and tried to grab the rock. Jones said something back, then ejected Johnson. Then Johnson walked toward Jones and - after he was physically restrained by teammates - threw his mouthpiece at the ref. He will be fined and probably suspended. Following Toronto' fifth straight loss, Johnson spoke to reporters about the incident and explained it was out of character of him to lose his composure like he did.
