Lucy Pinder is spoofing the retirement of Pope Benedict XVI by doing what she does best - posing topless - and the Catholic League is far from pleased.
The prominent organization is up in arms over photos of the UK glamour model scantily covered in priest regalia with the headline "For God's Sake."
Bill Donohue, Catholic League President, acknowledges, "Lucy Pinder shouldn't have any problem turning men's heads." That's for darn sure.
"So it is all the more gratuitous," he adds, "to see her wearing a priest's stole, stitched with crosses, nicely covering her plus-sized chest."
Very nicely. And strategically.
Donohue says, "If Lucy has any guts, perhaps next time she'll carefully drape herself in some Islamic garb during Ramadan. Then run for the hills."
Challenge accepted, we hope.
Pinder herself told TMZ that "the shoot is meant to be fun and very tongue-in-cheek," and that it's really not a big deal, so basically chill, Bill.
