Matthew Hartman thought he had it all figured out when he went to pop the question to his girlfriend in beautiful Laguna Beach, California in December.
The Pacific Ocean apparently had other ideas.
As soon as he got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage, a HUGE wave engulfed both of them and sent them crashing onto the beach.
