Joining the popular photo-sharing app is a perfect fit for the fashion-forward, health-conscious FLOTUS, 49, to share her life for fans and family alike.
Meanwhile, a video was posted to the official White House Instagram account showing the welcome the family received upon arriving in Dakar, Senegal.
"Dakar welcomes the President and First Lady on the way to their official welcome at the Presidential Palace," the WH video was captioned.
Obama is expected to use her time on her Africa trip this week to tout the values of a strong education, one of her most cherished platforms.
Although she is accompanying President Obama on an official tour, Michelle Obama and her daughters Malia and Sasha will have their own itinerary.
