Amanda Bynes' mother, Lynn, is speaking out for the first time about the troubled star's mental health hospitalization and the many rumors surrounding her.
Lynn says that she has never once provided information on Amanda's treatment, and until she does, don't assume anything you read to be the truth.
"I would really like everyone out there to know that almost 99 percent of the things written about my daughter in various media outlets are false or misleading."
"Please know that neither myself or other family members have ever released any information regarding her treatment or diagnosis," she added.
"Unless it's a statement issued by our family attorney, Tamar Arminak, please take everything you read about Amanda Bynes with a grain of salt."
"We truly believe in keeping our daughter's situation private for now."
Lynn's public words followed a statement that was issued Tuesday through her lawyer, claiming Amanda had been moved to a different rehab center.
Though the statement didn't clarify where is, some celebrity gossip outlets reported she moved from UCLA Medical Center to The Canyon in Malibu.
"Amanda is making great strides towards recovery," the statement read.
"The entire Bynes family would like to ask that they be given some measure of privacy at this time so they can focus on Amanda's health and well-being."
Lynn Bynes currently has conservatorship over her daughter, who recently lit a fire on her neighbor's driveway and threw a bong out of her apartment window.
