The Voice Season 6 Episode 3 was not on par with the first two installments last week, but that appeared to be a deliberate effort on behalf of the producers.
That or the talent pool has just run dry. We'll soon find out.
Either way, an alarming nine out of 20 singers failed to get a single button push, and those that did advance to the battle rounds were often less than stellar.
Not to say there weren't highlights among them, however.
A couple of singers were real chair-turners and showed potential, and as the season progresses, they may come into their own even more before our eyes.

Smoky-voiced singer Patrick Thomson has his pick of coaches after a powerful take on The Marshall Tucker Band's "Can't You See."
5. Melissa Jimenez - If I Ain't Got You (The Voice Audition)
A singer since age 12, Melissa Jimenez snares a pair of last-moment chair turns with her "If I Ain't Got You."
6. Ryan Whyte Maloney - Lights (The Voice Audition)
Las Vegas-based singer Ryan Whyte Maloney rocks his way to a four-coach turnaround.
7. Brothers Walker - Keep Me in Mind (The Voice)
A pair of identical twin brothers' cover of the Zac Brown Band's "Keep Me in Mind" lands them a spot on Team Usher.
8. DeShawn Washington - Twistin' the Night Away (The Voice Audition)
A small-town singer with a big voice, DeShawn Washington twists his way onto Team Shakira with his version of Sam Cooke's "Twistin' the Night Away."
9. Lindsay Pagano, Joshua Howard and Tanner James (The Voice Auditions)
Lindsay Pagano strikes gold with "Lady Marmalade"; Joshua Howard scores with "This Is What It Feels Like"; and Tanner James advances with his take on "Heaven".
