Jamie Lynn Spears and her more famous sister both grew up (much too fast) in the spotlight and occasionally seemed to really suffer as a result.

Knowing what they've been through, you would think the Spears' sisters would be very careful about not over-exposing their own kids. Apparently, you would be wrong:

That's Jamie Lynn's 5-year-old daughter Maddie rockin' out to Iggy Azalea's "Fancy," and while the video may seem innocently harmless at first, when you consider the lyrics to the song and the damage done to Jamie Lynn and Britney by childhoods spent in the public eye, the whole thing becomes a little unsettling.

First, let's talk about the idea of a kindergartener dancing to a song about getting "drunk on the mini bar" and "takin' all the liquor straight up:"

Granted, Maddie is young enough that she likely doesn't comprehend most of what Iggy is rapping about, but still the song contains joking references to being "retarded," and not "giving a f--k," and we all know kids don't have to understand words in order to memorize and repeat them. 

Beyond that there's the simple fact that while it may not be fair, the rules are just different for famous parents.

What might be a cute, funny video when shared with family and close friends becomes a target for criticism when displayed for millions of Instagram followers.

That's not to say famous parents shouldn't be allowed to publicly share photos of their kids, it's just that with the number of eyes on them at all times, they have to be a bit more selective about what they put out there. look what happened when a probably innocent photo of Moises Arias and Willow Smith leaked online.

But we're not saying it's time to call protective services. Far from it.

At the end of the day, we're sure Maddie is a well-adjusted and well-cared for little girl, and the video posted by Jamie Lynn is certainly no more ridiculous than Kendall and Kylie Jenner dancing to Nicki Minaj's "Pills N Potions."

Sure the Jenners are older, but their dance moves are every bit as goofy as the average 5-year-old's.
