Is Ryan Gosling about to retire from acting as soon as he becomes a father? The 33-year-old heart throb said as much ... albeit three years ago.
The actor, a fan favorite because of his on-screen persona, intense acting skills, creative direction and good looks, recently got Eva Mendes pregnant.
News that Ryan Gosling will be a father came as an utter shock to many fans, as he is notoriously private, and he got Eva pregnant and not them.
Is he really serious about giving up work when Eva gives birth, though?
"I'll make movies until I make babies. I have no idea when the handover will happen," Ryan said in 2011. "When someone comes along [to make babies with]."
"I don't think I'll be able to do both and I'm fine with that."
Well, Eva came along and he's got two months left.
Hopefully that was just something he said when envisioning himself in this situation, and now that he's in it, Ryan still wants to make movies.
We can visualize him working less - that fake Gosling Facebook post about him adopting a baby painted a great picture of him - but retirement?
Let's hold off on that for now, shall we? Otherwise, we can't imagine the memes that will take over the Internet if Gosling is no longer on our screens ...
