Despite yesterday's reports to the contrary Joan Rivers is still on life support at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
The legendary comedienne has been moved from the intensive care unit to a private room in a recovery wing, but that doesn't necessarily mean that her condition has improved.
Rivers remains in a medically-induced coma following complications from a surgical procedure last week. The 81-year-old stopped breathing during a procedure on her vocal cords and has been hospitalized ever since.
Sources say that while she's unconscious, her daughter Melissa has been doing everything in her power to make Joan as comfortable as possible:
Sources tell the New York Daily News that Rivers' room "got decorated by celebrity wedding planner Preston Bailey with flowers, bows, plants."
In addition, Joan reportedly gets her hair and makeup done on a daily basis, and friends and family have her favorite music playing around the the clock.
The hospital has even allowed Joan's beloved dogs to stay with her overnight, and, of course, her bed has been outfitted with her favorite mink blankets.
Joan's loved ones may soon face some difficult decisions, but one insider claims that Melissa "refuses to acknowledge any other outcome than Joan coming out of this."
