The wildly popular iPhone app game Candy Crush Saga is making headlines lately because its creator, King, hopes to take his company public.
Not surprising, given its insane, infuriatingly addictive nature.

Why do we say that? There are so many reasons ...
The game is not only fun, but frustrating beyond belief. A rare blend of emotions. For instance, once you burn through all five lives, you have two choices:
- Wait half an hour (!) for a single new life.
- Ask people for lives on Facebook.
If you're hitting up your aunt or that kid you haven't talked to since eighth grade for new lives on Facebook, you've hit a low point ... but we've all been there.
Failure is also a devastating part of the game.
From licorice swirls absorbing all the power of striped candies and giant candies, making them effectively useless, to wasting that color bomb, it's maddening.
Even more exasperating than losing with one jelly left? Clearing that last jelly ... and still losing since you didn't score enough points. Freaking game.
