Drake has fired Future as the opening act of his "Would You Like A Tour?" tour following a quote from the latter in which he allegedly dissed the former.
When you're the opening act? Not typically a very smart move.
The feud reportedly stems from Future's sit-down with Billboard, where he threw some shade at Drake while previewing his forthcoming effort Honest.
Billboard Associate editor Erika Ramirez quoted Future as saying that the rapper "made an album that is full of hits ... but it doesn't grab you."
"They're not possessive; they don't make you feel the way I do."
Future's reps were quick to call it a "misquote" that was taken out of context and it was deleted from the story, but not before Drake heard about it.
"He told his agent either Future gets fired, or he'll fire him," a source says, noting that Future was fired, then brought back only to quit the tour.
Ciara's significant other, who was set to earn about $40,000 per gig, is reportedly mulling a lawsuit against Drake for lost wages, or about $1.5 million.
The tour has been experiencing technical difficulties as well.
It recently rescheduled 13 shows due to "an intense rehearsal schedule and technical production requirements that will be part of the show," a release said.
Future, who's also collaborating with Miley Cyrus, is not fazed.
"I've been on the songs of all these rappers that put out an album, and my music is still better," he says of his new album, set for release in early 2014.
