After breaking up once, only to rekindle the flame earlier this year, are Katy Perry and John Mayer on the brink of making their relationship official?
Katy Perry and John Mayer are reportedly "very serious" about each other. So much so that the couple's friends are waiting for their big announcement.
"Everyone knows it's just a question of when John will propose," a source close to the singer-songwriter told Us Weekly after his brother's wedding.
That would be Carl Mayer, who tied the knot at New York's Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club, and left Katy and John pondering their future.
He also attended her performance on Saturday Night Live October 12, the day before his brother's wedding, and at the after-party, the PDA was "intense."
"(They) were beyond affectionate and adorable," a source said.
"He was rubbing her back, then pulled her in for an intimate close chat. She put her hand inside his jacket and they were kissing and gazing into each other's eyes."
Perry has had a lot to celebrate lately. Her new single "Roar" has been a #1 smash, her new album Prism comes out next week, and she's the face of CoverGirl.
Might an engagement ring be thrown into the mix before long?
