Unfortunately for Caroline Manzo and her family, Christmas cheer is in short supply this year:
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star wrote on Twitter Wednesday that her beloved dog Austin has passed away.
"Dogs are FAMILY…rest in peace, Austin. We all love and miss you," Manzo wrote, adding: "RIP my beautiful little puppy, you were so loved. Santa has a new sidekick."
We weren't aware that Santa was deceased, or that he flew his sleigh with dogs as opposed to reindeer. But still. We feel the Manzos pain and our heart goes out to them.
However, because episodes are taped ahead of time, viewers may still get to see Austin in action next year.
Bravo has already filmed many episodes of the spinoff "Manzo'd With Children," some of which sources say includes Austin.
