The Real Housewives of New York City star Aviva Drescher's 76-year-old father George Teichner recently got engaged to Dana Lavette Cody, 25.
Understandably, this threw Aviva for a loop, as you know if you watch The Real Housewives of New York City online. Not an easy thing to grasp.
Why she needed to pry for specific sexual details is unclear, but she was more than understanding in the end. She's even happy for her father.
The apparently no longer fired Aviva Drescher even threw the unexpected couple an engagement party at The Museum of Sex on the June 3 episode.
"The Museum of Sex is an obvious choice for my father's engagement party," she joked, adding, "I believe that Cody and my father are truly in love."
"While it may be unconventional, I support my father."
Other cast members? Not as much. Especially Ramona Singer, who ended up making Cody cry by bringing up her deceased parents at the bash.
She even told Teichner no mother wants her daughter marrying a 76-year-old. Teicher, for his part, defended the "mysterious power" that bonds the duo.
He empathizes with stoopids" who don't believe him.
"Soon come the wedding," Teichner says.
"Our relationship is a mysterious power from which the worlds around me have originated upon meeting Cody, and is the base on which my all rests and moves."
"The power of our together is so mysterious that words that attempt to describe it turn back defeated. As to my love for Cody: all things rise from her."
"All things exist in her, and merge into our relationship."
"As to the naysayers, jealous women, and just plain Stoopids. I emphasize: things that are not definable, that cannot be delineated, are usually dismissed as false."
"The joy and bliss which Cody and I experience together daily does not have form."
"Same is experience-based, not sense based. Not concerned with being seen by the eyes of others, but seen with our vision of clarified and purified love."
