La Toya Jackson received the sweetest surprise of her life during a recent dinner with boyfriend and business partner Jeffré Phillips.
Dining at Hawaii's Trump Hotel, Phillips surprised the celebrity by dropping to a single knee and asking her to marry him.
However, he admitted to her, "I don't have a ring for you," Jackson tells People. "I said, 'Well, that's okay. I don't care about a ring.'"
Cue dessert and...
"When I lifted [the lid], there was the ring," La Toya says.
And not just any ring: The round center diamond is 10 carats alone, and it's surrounded by another 7.5 carats in round diamonds set in a platinum band.
Yes, that is 17.5 total carats, all designed by Phillips himself.
"Jeffré goes over the top with a lot of things," says Jackson. "He found exactly what I would like or want. It's really beautiful."
Life with La Toya returns June 7 on OWN and viewers will be able to see the star's reaction later this summer.
