As many await the California Supreme Court ruling on Prop 8, marriage equality advocates suddenly find themselves with a surprising ally:
Bill O'Reilly.
The conservative Fox News host talked with Megyn Kelly last night about the contentious issue and made his stance very clear, saying simply:
"The compelling argument is on the side of homosexuals."
"We're Americans, we just want to be treated like everybody else. That's a compelling argument, and to deny that you've got to have a very strong argument on the other side," O'Reilly says in the above video.
"And the other side hasn't been able to do anything but thump the Bible."
This, he states, it not a basis on which to enact public policy.
This isn't the first time O'Reilly has stood up for gay rights.
He railed against One Million Moms last year when it protested Ellen DeGeneres as the spokeswoman for JC Penney.
What do you think? Should gay couples have the right to marry?
