They've already kissed and they adopted a child on the very first episode, but the American Civil Liberties Union is looking for more from Cam and Mitchell on Modern Family.
The organization wants this same-sex couple to get married.
The group initiated a campaign this week asking folks to "RSVP" to an episode of this ABC sitcom that would center on its two gay couples tying the knot.
The goal? To persuade creators Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd to go through with such a storyline and therefore draw attention to the Supreme Court's impending decision on the Defense of Marriage Act and Proposition 8.
"The freedom to marry is being advanced in American living rooms as much as in court rooms," ACLU Executive Director Anthony D. Romero said of the campaign. "As we wait for the Supreme Court to rule, we want to keep this issue on the minds and screens of Americans everywhere."
The ACLU hopes to earn support from 750,000 online petition signatures and then present this "guest list" to Levitan and Lloyd.
No comment so far from ABC, but Levitan has spoken on the politically-charged topic in the past.
If we played even the tiniest role in helping to defeat Prop 8 and giving all gay people the equal rights they deserve, then I'm a happy man," he said in March.
