Amanda Bynes has been hospitalized and held pending a mental health evaluation after allegedly starting a small fire in the driveway of a home in California.
A stranger's home, according to reports.
Ventura County Sheriff's Capt. Don Aguilar says deputies responding to a call last night found her standing next to the flames in the city of Thousand Oaks.
Amanda was born and raised in the L.A.-area community.
The deputies determined that the actress meets criteria for a mental health hold and took her into custody. She can be held for up to 72 hours of observation.
No charges have been filed against her at this time.
The 27-year-old former child actress had several run-ins with the law in California last year before moving to NYC, where her bizarre behavior intensified.
Earlier this month, she appeared in a Manhattan court on allegations that she chucked a bong out her window from the 36th floor, which got her arrested.
Last week, Bynes got kicked out of the Ritz-Carlton, where she allegedly harassed staff and racked up a $2,300 room service bill in a little over a week.
She was also accused of stealing from her weed dealer.
Since her forced exodus from the Ritz, Amanda Bynes flew home to California, where she was accused of drunkenly trespassing at a retirement community.
Her status is unclear, but we hope she gets the help she needs, because this may not end well otherwise. Perhaps a 5150 hold is the best thing right now.
