He and his Duck Dynasty cohorts just received a big raise, ending a salary dispute with A&E and ensuring future seasons of the hit reality show.
But does Willie Robertson have ambitions beyond business and TV?
Republicans in Louisiana are trying to convince the star to run for political office in his home state, as Rep. Rodney Alexander is retiring from his district.
A special election will be held to fill the seat, which Alexander will vacate at the end of September. But would the West Monroe, La., resident actually run?
Alexander is said to be friendly with Willie Robertson, who is the CEO of the duck-call and hunting companies Duck Commander and Buck Commander.
"My boys really want to run Willie Robertson for the seat," a "key outside adviser to House GOP leadership" told the Washington Examiner Tuesday.
That's great, but other GOP officials doubt it will happen, for obvious reasons.
Said one insider, summing it up simply but accurately, "Why would a multimillionaire TV sensation give up that work to run for a congressional seat?"
Robertson's rep has not yet commented, but this much is for sure: Duck Dynasty Season 4 (see sneak peek below) kicks off tonight at 10 p.m. on A&E.
