American Idol Recap: Who Rocked Detroit City? >>Hollywood

American Idol revved up its audition engine and touched down in Detroit last night, a city known for cars, bankruptcy… and great music.

Did the aspiring singers on Season 13 live up the Motor City reputation? Yes, actually. We only heard one "no" through the show's first half hour or so, in fact.

That's unheard of!

But which on the "yes" side truly stood out? Who might actually go on to be the next American Idol? Let's count down the Top 5, shall we?

Sydney Arterbridge sang "Loving You" and didn't change much on this Minnie Riperton classic. But that's okay when you are 15 and can hit every single note.

Keri Lynn Roche went with "Radioactive" and then the judges asked for another track, causing us to fear she somehow might not get a Golden Ticket despite this great acoustic version of the song. Fortunately, a take on "I'd Rather Go Blind" got her through.

David Oliver Willis made it to Vegas last season and was back for more here. He totally brought it on "Too Close," re-arranging the track and making it his own. Someone to keep a close eye on.

Jade Lathan covered Amy Winehouse and sounded eerily like that late great on "You Know I'm No Good."

Ryan Nisbett certainly possessed the most unique voice and story. The guy lost like 200 pounds! But he also blew the judges away with a soulful take on "Angel," and was the most memorable contestant to take Detroit's stage.
