Uncle Bubba's Seafood & Oyster House, the restaurant at the center of the Paula Deen racism scandal, has been shuttered in surprising fashion.
The establishment did not tell employees in a meeting face-to-face ... or at all. The workers showed up this morning to find appliances being removed.

The only explanation was posted on the restaurant's Facebook page this morning, saying, "Thank you for 10 great years. Uncle Bubba's is now closed."
People are pissed.
"My mother worked there for over 8 years and no one called her!! My fiance also worked there ... a manager called him LAST NIGHT to get his availability next week!"
"My mother put in some hard work for years with you & she finds out when she shows up for work this morning to be escorted by a police officer to get her belongings."
Well ... that's rough.
If you recall, Bubba's manager Lisa Jackson sued Paula Deen, whose deposition included a story where she Deen used a racial slur to describe an African American.
The allegations of racism against Jackson were denied by Deen, and the suit was eventually tossed, but the damage to her career was done by that leak.
Now she's planning a big comeback and likening herself to Michael Sam,
