This week, on The Real Housewives of New York City Season 6 Episode 12, we got a break from Ramona Singer drama and saw ... a lot of random storylines.
Some of the highlights (and we use the term loosely) from a thrown-together The Real Housewives of New York City Season 6 Episode 12 include:
- The funeral of Milou, Sonja Morgan's dog (yes, it was that kind of week on NYC)
- Kristen Taekman's husband, Josh, heckling her as she filmed a workout video
- Carole Radziwill interviewing some seriously unqualified assistant candidates
- Aviva Drescher talking to her dad about mirrors on the ceiling and having sex
Yes, that last part happened. We're not sure if that should get Aviva Drescher fired or a giant pay raise, but either way, it was extremely uncomfortable.
Anyway, the ostensible big story was Sonja's dog funeral. Which was just absurd.
Look, we love dogs and we can appreciate Sonja's relationship with her beloved dog, how it represented a specific time in Sonja's life, and all of that.
He was a companion and friend, not just a canine who lived with her. He was there when she was at her happiest, and with her for so many memories.
There was a Swami priestess at the pup's funeral, though. A little over the top.
Ramona and Mario had a totally tubular bikini party once upon a time.
If anything, it made Sonja appear human at least. There's no denying that.
Despite the spectacle, it also made us appreciate the pets in our own lives (at least it should ... hug them extra hard today) and how much they mean.
Fortunately, all is right with the world again next week, as previews show Sonja screaming in Kristen's face for something that must be crucial.
We can probably count on the return of vintage Ramona Singer too. How many weeks can she really be subdued without exploding on everyone?
She will be back and in rare form before long, people.
We're not encouraging another wine glass thrown at Kristen's face, but drama. Drama. That's why we watch, and she knows how to deliver it like no other.
