Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet is PISSED at KISS band members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley for being rude to his mother on a flight yesterday.
Before you chalk that up as one of the most unexpected celebrity feuds ever, Stanley claims the whole thing was a misunderstanding, however.
Stonestreet ripped the rockers on Instagram, claiming Simmons tried to "bully" his mom out of her seat, then mocked her by asking for her autograph.
He allegedly threw in an old lady jab, calling her "Aunt Bee."
But Simmons fired back to Stonestreet calling him out, claiming the whole thing is made up, and he "would never be mean, especially to mothers."
Stanley Tweeted that it was "misunderstanding of joking."
Stonestreet, as you can see above, didn't hold back.
Despite his blistering accusations against Stanley and Simmons, he quickly accepted the duo's explanation and apology with a white flag tweet.
"Thank u for that," he wrote to the rockers. "She did tell me you let her go first. I will tape my glow in the dark KISS posters back together now."
Stonestreet clearly felt humbled, as he tweeted a separate response to Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Simmons, throwing his mother under the bus.
He wrote, "Ok @genesimmons. Take care. I assure u, I will have a stern talk with my mom about making up stories. Old people, ya know? OUR apologies :)"
Strange case closed.
