Ealier this month, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West bought a $20 million mansion in Hidden Hills, California.
Now, sources say Kim is understandably eager to move in, while Kanye - of course - wants to make some major renovations first.
While this is already Kim's second longest marriage, insiders say the squabbling over the house has gotten so bad that for the first time the Kimye union is being put to the test.
Why would the couple be so divided over some renovations that they can obviously afford? Because it's not the first time this has happened, and Kim is beginning to worry that she'll wind up living with her mom for the rest of her life.
Keeping Up With the Kardashians viewers may have been confused when Kim and 'Ye purchased their new digs, as they had been building their own home for much of the current season:
Those plans were reportedly scrapped after Kanye decided that he just didn't like the direction in which the project was headed. Kim is now said to be terrified that his perfectionist tendencies will lead him to gut their new home only to jump ship again.
"Kim loves the house just as it is," an insider tells Radar Online. "She is ready to move out of her mom Kris' house as soon as possible. Kim has even suggested they move into the house and live there as construction is being done, which Kanye isn't willing to do."
"Kanye is so set in his ways and there is no such thing as a compromise to him," says the source. "On this issue, though, Kim isn't going to budge."
