Picking up where we left off Sunday, Bachelor in Paradise Season 2 Episode 6 saw Juelia pulling her friend Samantha aside to talk about Joe.
However, it quickly became clear that her warning fell on deaf ears, as Samantha immediately ran off to tell Joe everything that she said.
So much for girl code.
If you watch Bachelor in Paradise online, you know that backstabbing and conniving is par for the course, but this took it to a new level.
Tanner revealed what many suspected - that Samantha and Joe Bailey had been texting prior to her coming on the show this weekend.
Joe vowed to "do whatever it takes to still be there" until she arrived, and that meant coming on strong to Juelia to secure her rose.
Tanner and JJ went to confront Joe, who was with Samantha ... who shoved everyone out of the room including the camera crew.
Or so she thought.
"Listen, I just interviewed," she told Joe, trying to get their story straight and not aware she was still being recorded. "I said we didn't talk."
"I said, 'I didn't even know he was interested in me ... I didn't want to say anything. He didn't ask me anything, and I didn't ask him anything.'"
"Maybe you can just say ... 'I contacted her, she didn't want to know anything about me and we waited and it worked out really well, thank God.'"
Just then, Samantha saw a camera and clammed up; meanwhile, ABC juxtaposed this with clips from said interview of her lies. Well handled!
How will this end? That part remains to be seen.
Among the guys, JJ and Tanner were the only ones on Team Juelia, calling Joe out on his seemingly villainous behavior. And it got ugly.
"He's justifying the fact that he lied to Juelia to get that rose. Juelia wasted her rose and the opportunity to find love," Tanner lamented.
"He tricked her, he lied to her and he used her."
After JJ confronted him, Joe called JJ the "dumbest guy" he's ever met in his life and walked away, which did not sit well with his rival.
"Get the f--k up here, you little s--t," JJ yelled.
The episode ended with JJ vowing to end this saga by making Joe the "hillbilly he is because he's going to go home with about four teeth missing."
Here's hoping. Meanwhile in Paradise ...
- Amber asked Dan out on her date, and he accepted; Ashley S. cried over Dan and reverted back to full-on "Onion Girl" mode;
- JJ got his first date, which involved Megan, fun in the sun and a whole lot of water sports; Off-camera motor-boating TBD.
