On Scandal Season 4 Episode 15, Olivia aimed to mend a broken heart... the White House reverted into spin mode... and Huck debated doing a number on B613.
One storyline focused on Susan Ross preparing to glide through the Senate confirmation process for Vice President. Until, that is, her rip-snorting nervous laugh earned her instant infamy.
In exchange for a "big pile of money," Leo Bergen took Susan on as a client, although his tough love eventually made the senator to "quit."
Enter Olivia. And enter a successful Senate hearing for Ross as a result, even if it required a bit of crow-eating on Fitz's part to coax enough votes from the politicians who believed the West Angola war served as a mockery of democracy.
(On a related note, Leo's "firing" at Abby's hand actually lit a fire under the lovebirds. Sorry if that grosses you out.)
Then there was David Rosen. He was visited by a woman whose husband allegedly worked for a spy group called… B613. And, hey, it's Huck's Kim!
Rosen tells Jake and Huck about this "Diego Munoz," the guy who gave his wife the files, prompting Huck to admit it's him.
Testifying, Huck abandons the play to use PTSD as an excuse, instead telling a tale about the infamous "hole" into which B613 thew its bad eggs.
Afterward, Huck receives a smooch at the doorstep from his proud wife, yet Jake presume that David will "shut it down." Instead, he claims to be inspirted to use the files to "get the bad guys" once and for all.
Kerry Washington's breakout role came in the Julia Stiles-driven film Save the Last Dance. She played Chenille, a teen mother who befriends Stiles' character.
One of Tony Goldwyn's first major roles came as Carl Bruner, the guy who killed Patrick Swayze in Ghost. But hey, if he hadn't killed his best friend, we wouldn't have gotten that pottery scene and Unchained Melody wouldn't mean anything.
NOEL!!!! Scott Foley's time on Felicity led to his marriage to Jennifer Garner (before she cheated on him with Michael Vartan. WHO CHEATS ON SCOTT FOLEY!?!? NO ONE, THAT'S WHO!)
Is he a bad guy? Is he a good guy? NO ONE CAN DECIDE! One thing we know is that Scott Foley as Jake Ballard adds a certain something-something to the Olivia Pope love drama.
On Scandal, Bellamy Young turned what started as a three episode guest appearance into a full-fledged character, Mellie Grant, the First Lady everyone loves and loves to hate.
Terrence Steadman was a central figure on Prison Break. Lincoln Burrows was framed for his murder. That sounds like a character right up Jeff Perry's alley.
These days, Jeff Perry plays Cyrus Beene, a gay Republican White House Chief of Staff convinced his man is the best man for the job because it puts him closer to power.
Guillermo Diaz played a character named Scarface in the Dave Chappelle comedy Half Baked. He later reprised the role for several episodes of Chappelle's Show.
As Abby Whelan, Darby Stanchfield plays one of the most polarizing Gladiators. Some people love her. Some people hate her. She'll go over the cliff for Olivia Pope no matter what.
David Rosen was supposed to be a guest role only, but fans reacted so well, and Shonda loved Joshua Malina so much, she decided to keep him around. For now.
Joe Morton showed up on Scandal as a mystery man called Command. It was later revealed that he is Olivia Pope's father, Rowan Pope. He's the baddest of the bad.
Finally, Rose showed up at Olivia's to ask about Lois, the woman Olivia killed during her initial abduction.
Turns out, Rose and Lois had been lovers at the age of 16, but got separated by some disapproving mothers and fathers. All these decades later, Lois moved back to DC for her.
Liv told her Rose died via an aneurysm while sitting on a bench, giving her a chance to say goodbye.
Upon hearing Rose lament how she's "all alone," Olivia realized she could relate. She tossed away the stained sofa cushion grabbed some red wine and some popcorn and figured she ought to give this regular life thing a shot.
But why do we somehow doubt her life will be so calm and regular on Scandal Season 4 Episode 16 next Thursday?
