One would imagine that after Bobbi Kristina Brown died, her surviving family members would be able to keep the peace for a little while.
But, apparently, that is too much to ask of the Browns and Houstons.
Leolah Brown, Bobby Brown's sister, accused Pat Houston of using Bobbi Kristina's death to make money. She claimed that Pat begged fans and family members donate to her charity.
At first, this doesn't seem like an issue. Pat Houston was named co-guardian of Bobbi Kristina, so she was trusted enough to care for her Bobbi Kristina and her assets while she was hospitalized.
But according to Radar Online, Pat has not filed tax returns in recent years. This begs the question, where's the money going???
Leolah took to Facebook last week to expose the issue after she learned that Pat asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to her Marion P. Foundation.
"The Brown family has just learned that Marion Patricia Houston, AKA: Pat Houston, is asking for the public to send money to her foundation (The Marion P Foundation) on behalf of my niece Bobbi Kristina," Leolah angrily posted on Facebook.
She added, "PLEASE DO NOT SEND ONE RED CENT! As she has not even sat down & spoken to my brother Bobby, who is Bobbi Kristina's father, about this. This is part of the proof that her intentions are very ill."
"This is nothing more than another scheme of Pat Houston, to try to get money put into her account for her personal gain. There is much evil hidden behind this foundation."
Nothing suggests that Pat had malicious intentions. But many are wondering how the money is used.
According to Radar Online, the Marion P. Foundation has not publicly filed a complete tax return because is makes less than $50,000 per year.
The organization's mission is to "reach our youth through positive events and activities as well as build lasting relationships with them that will strengthen our community and future generations."
The foundation also raises money by selling Mario P. candles that are "inspired by Whitney Houston." The candles start at $65.00.
A portion of the proceeds benefit Teen Summit, a program developed by Patricia Houston to help rebuild, restore and repair the lives of undeserved youths," the foundation's website claims.
Despite the charity's good intentions, Leolah begged her Facebook followers to "PLEASE keep your money in your pockets and give absolutely NOTHING to the Marion P foundation."
