Sorry, what we mean to say it this: talk about Awkward!
On Pretty Little Liars Season 6 Episode 9, Charles invited his own sister to the prom, as Ali was all set to join the other gals at their make-shift dance inside Spencer's barn.
That is, until her sibling sent her a text message that caused her to go running to Rosewood High School.
Spencer was able to quickly track Ali down, but after a heartfelt speech ("I'm not leaving until I can look him the eye and ask him what I ever did to make him hate me so much") from Ali prompted her friend to let her go.
We later got scared when Clark was caught with a gun… until discovered he's an undercover cop. But the confusion over his role was all the distraction Charles needed to kidnap Ali.
We still haven't seen his face, of course, but Ali got a peek at the very end. And acted as if he's someone she knows well.
Elsewhere, the mothers of Rosewood FTW!!!!
They were beyond entertaining to watch this week, gossiping and mystery-solving and getting to then bottom of why Reese from the Carissimi group was in the DiLaurentis' house.
Following his mysterious trip to New York, meanwhile, Caleb returned for one final dance with Hanna - and also to deliver some news: He landed a job in The Big Apple, working for some kind of computer company.
Caleb said he'd be making enough money for Hanna's tuition and an apartment they could share someday. Can you say SPINOFF?!?
Finally, Aria and Ezra chose to go their separate ways. For good. She's off to Los Angeles for an internship and he's going to Thailand to work with Habitat for Humanity.
We'd be all broken up about this, but come on: we all know they'll get back together someday, right?
