Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton was arrested on charges of DUI this morning, with new details pertaining to the incident making it even more embarrassing for the hitting star.
According to the Thornton Police Department, the 39-year old was found stumbling out of a gas station, breath full of alcohol and lottery tickets in hand.
Yes, lottery tickets. For a guy who once signed a $141.5 million contract.
Helton "made spontaneous statements about drinking two igloo cups of red wine," police say, and was booked on three counts of drunk driving.
