Johnny Manziel Admits Mistakes, Says "It's Time to Grow Up" >>Hollywood

Under fire for off-the-field actions yet again, Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel admitted yesterday that it's time for him to grow up.

Maziel answered every question thrown his way during a 30-minute Q&A at SEC Media Day yesterday, some of which were even about football.

He said he largely enjoys the spotlight that comes with winning the Heisman Trophy last year, even if it includes scandalous headlines at times.

The 20-year-old sophomore and Texas A&M quarterback's most recent misstep came last weekend when he attended the Manning Passing Academy.

Manziel was one of many college quarterback counselors at the camp for high school prospects run by Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning in Louisiana.

He left before it was over. Manziel says he missed activities because he ''overslept,'' and his absence had nothing to do with being out the night before.

''I was not asked to leave. It was a mutual decision,'' Manziel said.

He said that while there were social events every night with the Manning family, he did not miss meetings because of too much partying.

''The speculation of me being too hung over [to attend] the meetings is absolutely incorrect,'' he said, but he would not say if he'd been drinking.

''I don't feel like I've done anything that's catastrophic,'' Manziel said.

''Of course, I've made my mistakes. It's time to grow up.''

Manziel said he fell asleep without setting his alarm and his phone died. He said he was rooming with Alabama's AJ McCarron, who didn't wake him up.

''I'm definitely not going to pin it on him,'' Manziel said.

''It's my fault - 115, 120 percent.''

He said he was disappointed he missed the annual camp activities, but that there were ''no hard feelings'' between himself and the Mannings.

Other "highlights" from Manziel's wild off-the-field ride:

• Pleading guilty on Monday to a misdemeanor of not identifying himself to a police officer following a 2012 altercation at a bar near campus in Texas.
• Sending out a Tweet saying that he ''can't wait to leave'' College Station, before quickly deleting the Tweet. He later apologized.
• Saying he takes most of his classes online and rarely goes to campus.
• Possibly having his Heisman hold a blunt.
• Posing for this photo in a casino.

None of the transgressions were huge
