Oops! Nestle's bad!
The company recalled its "Philly Steak and Cheese" and "Croissant Crust Philly Steak and Cheese" Hot Pockets this week after the U.S. Department of Agriculture deemed the products unfit for human consumption.
USDA regulators said the company processed "diseased and unsound animals" without a full federal inspection.
In a press release, Nestle said these Hot Pockets were distributed nationwide and that "a small quantity of meat" from Rancho Feeding Corp. - which recalled 8.7 million pounds of bad beef last week - is to blame.
Fortunately, no illnesses have yet to be reported and patrons who bought the recalled Hot Pockets can get a refund by contacting Nestle Consumer Services at 800-392-4057.
Jim Gaffigan, meanwhile, is proving to be prophetic.
In a beloved 2006 standup bit, the comedian went on for many minutes about Hot Pockets, saying at one point:
