On Thursday night, American Idol announced its final 13 contestants, with five men and women chosen by the audience and three more selected as Wild Cards by the judges.
The remaining hopefuls reside from across the country (and include the first openly gay contestant in series history), but all share one common goal: becoming the next American Idol champion.
Which one of these lucky 13 will it be?

Caleb Johnson is a 22-year old native of North Carolina. He is doing very well for himself on American Idol.
