Indeed, the Best Supporting Actress race at this year's Academy Awards features quite the variety of nominees, from a pretty woman (Julia Roberts) to a girl on fire (Jennifer Lawrence).
There's also a veteran (June Squibb), a total newcomer (Lupita Nyong'o) and Sally Hawkins.
