Tina Fey has gone on record saying that the Mean Girls reunion people are buzzing about is not happening, no matter what Lindsay Lohan tells you on TV.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the film's release, and LiLo mentioned on The Tonight Show that she was approached by Fey about a reunion.
But Tina told Access Hollywood: "I said to [Lindsay], 'I think someone may call us about doing some kind of reunion because next month is the anniversary.'"
"And so really... if everyone's around we might try to do some kind of like panel discussion or something. But it's not like - it's not another movie."
"At most it would be like a panel discussion with a plate of hot wings."
Tina Fey didn't completely rule out any kind of reunion for the cast, but reiterated that there definitely isn't going to be a follow up to the catty comedy.
"[There's] definitely not a movie," the film's writer said. "It's just that the anniversary is coming up, so everybody get your pink shirts. It's been 10 years."
"You can tell when you look at me it's been 10 years."
Perhaps an awards show sketch or late night skit could still come to fruition (April's MTV Movie Awards? July's Comic-Con?) but that is a best-case scenario.
