We never thought we'd see the day when George Clooney got engaged, but now that it's happened it stands to reason that George is going all the way with his commitment.
So when it came time for the actor and longtime playboy to choose a symbol of his devotion, he didn't just stroll into some Hollywood jeweler's and point out the most expensive ring on the shelf.
No, George hired his own team and helped them draw up plans for an ethically mined (of course), emerald cut 7-carat stunner that Amal Alamuddin flaunted during a recent dinner date with Clooney.
We don't know how George found the time to pull out all the stops, considering he and Alamuddin have been dating for less than a year, but that's why he's George Clooney and we're not.
We're sure if he'd had a bit more time, he would've mined and cut the diamond himself.
No wedding date has been set for George and Amal, but considering the film icon's secretive ways, we'll likely only hear about the nuptials after they've taken place.
