It's not what you know, it's who you know when looking for a job, as the old saying goes. One enterprising young girl took her job request all the way to the First Lady yesterday.
During a visit for the annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, Charlotte Bell, 10 years old, gave Michelle Obama her father's resume telling the FLOTUS that her dad had been unemployed for three years.
Michelle Obama, poised and obviously moved, gave the girl a hug.
When the girl returned to her seat, Michelle Obama addressed the audience saying, "Well, it's a little private, but she's doing something for her dad, right?"
"Got it," she said to Charlotte, laying the resume on the table beside her to continue the event. The AP reports that when Michelle Obama left the room, she took the resume with her.
