Duck Dynasty is back to stir more controversy (or mostly just good family fun, as the controversy seems to revolve around issues outside the show) on A&E.
On Duck Dynasty Season 6 Episode 1, Willie Robertson received an award from Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, a longtime, vocal supporter of the reality series.
Willie's son John Luke was to introduce Jindal at an awards ceremony at Duck Commander, if he stops farting long enough to finish his speech that is.
At the Duck Commander warehouse, Godwin, Martin, Jase, Si, and Jep are busy making duck calls, and by that we obviously mean playing basketball.
Willie is not amused, or probably surprised.
At Phil Robertson and Miss Kay's house, she is modeling outfits that she wants to wear for the event, until Sadie and Korie decide to take her shopping.
They find success, according to Phil.
"Bingo, that's the one," he says ... without even looking, as Kay gets annoyed and tries on four more outfits since she can tell he doesn't mean it.
He loves her, though. You can tell.
Ol' Phil is crude, but he is who he is as Willie says, and despite the backlash against the show due to his inflammatory comments, he is front and center.
John Luke is still trying to get his speech down as the political "roadies" scramble to get things ready for the governor's appearance at the warehouse.
Jase tells John Luke that the last two people he should be getting advice from are Willie and Si, and that everybody gets nervous about these things.
Willie storms in to tell the crew to clean up their act before the governor arrives ... and realizes that Bobby Jindal himself is playing hoops with them now.
Finally, John Luke takes the podium and nails his speech and Jindal presents The Governor's Award For Entrepreneurial Excellence to Willie.
