He may be one of the funniest people alive, but Louis C.K. isn't in a joking mood at the moment.
The comedian is aghast at TMZ over the celebrity gossip site publishing a video that was filmed at the scene of Tracy Morgan's fatal car crash last Saturday.
The footage depicts the aftermath of a New Jersey Turnpike accident that killed comedian James McNair and injured four, including the former 30 Rock star.
Keeping his Tweets short and to the point, C.K. wrote "Take it down TMZ. Now. Please," last night, later telling followers:
"Please don't go to TMZ to watch the video. Please ask them to take it down."
Morgan remains hospitalized with numerous broken bones as a result of the incident, while a truck driver named Kevin Roper has been charged with vehicular homicide after allegedly falling asleep at the wheel.
In total, six cars were involved in the pile-up, which took place around 1 a.m. on June 7.
Louis C.K.'s pleas followed a similar request made by comedian Ardie Fuqua's daughter after her dad was one of the four individuals injured in the wreck.
His unconscious body is being pulled out of his destroyed car in TMZ's controversial video.
I honestly would like to petition for TMZ to remove this video," Fuqua's daughter wrote on Instagram a couple days ago. "I understand people want to know and people want to be updated, but enough is enough. This is hurting my heart so bad that this video is posted for all to see."
