Matt Bendik, a nightclub owner who had been dating Glee star Becca Tobin, was found dead in a Philadelphia hotel room yesterday.
He was 35 years old.
Bendik was in town on business, with the actress (who plays Kitty on the hit Fox series) accompanying him and the couple going out with friends for dinner on Wednesday evening.
They later returned to their hotel, where a maid found Bendik's body many hours later. The location of Tobin at this time is unknown.
The Philadelphia Medical Examiner has not offered any details aside from confirming the identity of Bendik's corpse.
Bendik was the owner of multiple clubs across the country, including DBA in West Hollywood.
The established posted a tribute to their deceased owner on the notice board outside the club last night that read "We love you Matt."
Sunday, meanwhile, will mark one year since Glee star Cory Monteith died of a heroin overdose in Vancouver.
