Someone is pregnant. Some young girls have vanished. And there's something new and promising (and funny!) on ABC on Wednesday nights.
Indeed, it was a busy evening of programming across the small screen yesterday, but don't worry if you didn't see everything: The Hollywood Gossip is here with a rundown, along with some very easy ways to watch TV online and catch up on all you may have missed.
Starting with the Nashville Season 3 premiere! It featured both a pregnancy AND a marriage proposal acceptance, along with a live performance. That's a whole lot to squeeze into one hour.

On Law & Order: SVU Season 16 Episode 1, meanwhile, we picked up months after events on the May finale went down, with Olivia now mother to an orphaned baby.
Why does she care so much, this detective was asked at one point? Please, she's Olivia Benson. If she didn't care, we wouldn't love her so much.

Equal parts funny and heartwarming, meanwhile, The Goldbergs Season 2 Episode 1 assured fans there would be no sophomore slump. It also taught everyone a very important message, one summed up by its title:

Also on ABC... did you catch the black-ish series premiere? This may not be the next Modern Family, but it's definitely one of the best sitcom pilots we've seen in awhile.
Anthony Anderson is perfect in the lead role of a well off African-American who doesn't want his kids to lose sight of where they came from. It's an interesting theme and, most important, it's a funny series.
On the second episode of The Mysteries of Laura, this NBC offering once again failed to properly balance drama with comedy. But, hey, it taught us that you can take clear pictures of a crime scene with an iPhone!
